Neil is a master mariner with 30+ years as a professionally certified mariner having served in every rank from deckhand to captain...even cook. He has sailed on all 4 Canadian coasts, plus the North Sea, South China Sea, South Pacific, Mediterranean and Caribbean Seas. He has extensive knowledge of shipboard procedures and operations with emphasis on safety systems and safe practices. He has coordinated and implemented Safety Management Systems (SMS) on board vessels, and managed dry dockings and general maintenance. He has sailed on cargo vessels, passenger vessels, sail training vessels, private yachts, and tugboats.
